PURPOSE: A device for preventing dew condensation and method for controlling thereof are provided to prevent a dew condensation generation on outside windows in a summer time because a state of the window of a vehicle can be changed. CONSTITUTION: A device for preventing dew condensation comprises an exterior temperature sensor, a glass temperature sensor, an exterior humidity sensor, a heater, and a controlling unit. The exterior temperature sensor measures an exterior temperature of a vehicle. The glass temperature sensor measures a temperature of a window of the vehicle. The exterior humidity sensor measures an exterior humidity of the vehicle. The heater heats interior of the vehicle. The controlling unit selectively operates the heater based on information transmit by the exterior temperature sensor, the exterior humidity sensor, and the glass temperature sensor.
