PURPOSE: A device and method for controlling the dimming of a taillight of a vehicle are provided to prevent glaring by decreasing a dimming value when a rear vehicle approaches within a preset distance. CONSTITUTION: A lighting switch lights a taillight of a vehicle. A rear vehicle sensor senses the distance from a rear vehicle. A dimming control unit controls the dimming of the taillight according to the distance from the rear vehicle. |
