A mitre saw has a saw portion supported above a table 6 by an arm 1. The saw is attached to the arm by means of connecting plates (3, 5, Figure 1) which are coupled by pins (4, Figure 2). The saw portion can be released or detached from the arm by pressing button 2, such that the saw can be used as a mitre saw supported on arm 1, or can be used independently as a reciprocating saw. The arm may swing to allow for different angled cuts (Figures 5 and 6) and the table may be rotated by releasing handle 8. The arm may be locked in positions at standard or commonly used angles. The table may have removable rubber legs for using the saw on easily damaged surfaces. The saw may have interchangeable blades. |
