METHOD FOR DISCRIMINATING BETWEEN SERIOLA QUINQUERADIATA AND SERIOLA LALANDI AND A KIT THEREFOR

PURPOSE: A method for distinguishing Seriola quinqueradiata and Seriola lalandi is provided to specifically distinguish the fishes using mitochondria genome DNA and restriction enzyme recognition site. CONSTITUTION: A method for distinguishing Seriola quinqueradiata and Seriola lalandi by RFLP analysis comprises: a step of preparing a biological sample from Seriola quinqueradiata and Seriola lalandi; a step of isolating mitochondria genome DNA from the biological sample; a step of amplifying the DNA sequence containing a sequence of sequence number 1 for identifying Accl restriction enzyme recognition site of Seriola quinqueradiata and a DNA sequence containing sequence numbers 2 and 3 for identifying Accl restriction enzyme recognition site of Seriola lalandi; and a step of treating Accl restriction enzyme to the amplified product.
