PURPOSE: A memory card reader apparatus having security features and a method thereof are provided to perform encoding and decryption algorithm. CONSTITUTION: A right processing unit(140) outputs an error message in a user terminal when the password of a card reader(100) inputted from a user terminal does not accord with set times. The right processing unit automatically processes the termination of a program. The right processing unit receives the password of the card reader from the user terminal when the user terminal and memory card reader are connected again through a USB port. The right processing unit proceeds a re-authentication process.
