PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diffractive element mold capable of forming a diffractive element which can reliably achieve an excellent optical performance by improving the transferability of the diffractive element mold without adversely affecting the optical performance of the diffractive element, and extending the life of the diffractive element mold, and a diffractive element formed using the mold. SOLUTION: The diffractive element mold has gas venting parts 26 and 27 for allowing the gas in a cavity 2 to escape outside the cavity 2, at a spot corresponding to the spot outside a diffractive grating plane 16 adjacent at least to the end on the side opposed to a gate 3 among the end on the gate 3 side in the diffractive grating plane 16 and the end on the side opposed to the gate 3.
