A webbing take-up device (10) including: a take-up shaft (18A) on which a webbing (20) is taken up; a lock mechanism (30) including a lock gear (68) disposed at one axial direction end portion of the take-up shaft (18A) and formed with ratchet teeth (68A), and a lock plate (66) formed with lock teeth (66A) engaging with the ratchet teeth (68A); and a frame (12) including a pair of leg plates (14,16) disposed at both axial direction end portions of the take-up shaft (18A), an opening portion (22B) being formed at a leg plate (16) of the pair of leg plates (14,16) disposed further to the other axial direction end portion of the take-up shaft (18A) than the ratchet teeth (68A) and the lock teeth (66A), and the opening portion (22B) passing through the leg plate (16) at a position that faces towards a range including a mutual engagement position between the ratchet teeth (68A) and the lock teeth (66A) and the periphery of the engagement position along the take-up shaft axial direction. |
