PURPOSE: An environmentally-friendly flame-retardant polyamide composition is provided to enhance heat-resistance, mechanical strength, and workability and to reduce water absorption rate. CONSTITUTION: An environmentally-friendly flame-retardant polyamide composition comprises 20-99.49 weight% of aromatic polyamide resin, 0-50 weight% of polyphenylene sulfide resin, 0.5-30 weight% of flame retardant which includes metal phosphate salt compound, 0.01-10 weight% of zinc compound, and 0-70 weight% of filler selected from organic filler, inorganic filler, and a mixture thereof. The zinc compound is either carbonic acid zinc compound or zinc tartrate compound. 0.3-8.0 weight% of the carbonic acid zinc compound is included. |
