POLY(BIPHENYLENE OXIDE)S SUBSTITUTED WITH TWO TRIFLUOROMETHYL GROUPS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THEREOF

PURPOSE: A poly(biphenylene oxide), monomers for manufacturing thereof, a manufacturing method of poly(biphenylene oxide), poly(biphenylene oxide) copolymers, and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve physical property, thereby utilizing as materials for electrotechnics and optics. CONSTITUTION: A poly(biphenylene oxide) is represented by chemical formula 1. In the chemical formula 1, n indicates an integer of 2-20,000. The monomer for manufacturing the poly(biphenylene oxide) is represented by chemical formula 8. A manufacturing method of the poly(biphenylene oxide) comprises the following steps: dissolving monomer which is represented by the chemical formula 8 in an aprotic solvent; adding potassium carbonate in a solution; stirring at 80-150 deg. Celsius; producing phenoxide salt; increasing temperature of the solution in which salt is produced up to 80-190 deg. Celsius; and stirring the solution.
