Disclosed is a surface protective film which has excellent adhesion to an optical material, adhesion stability over time, transparency, unwinding properties and heat resistance. Specifically disclosed is a surface protective film which is composed of at least two layers, namely a surface layer (A) and an adhesive layer (X). The surface layer (A) is formed from a polyolefin resin, and the adhesive layer (X) is formed from a composition that is composed of 5-95% by weight of a low crystalline a-olefin (co)polymer (X-1) that is mainly composed of an a-olefin that has 3 or more carbon atoms and is obtained using a metallocene catalyst and 95-5% by weight of a propylene (co)polymer (X-2) that has a melting point within the range of 50-130°C and is obtained using a metallocene catalyst (when the total of (X-1) and (X-2) is taken as 100% by weight). |
