PURPOSE: A battery electrode welding apparatus and method are provided to weld two objects even in case of abnormal irradiation of laser beam or misalignment of the objects because a laser beam creates multi-reflection between the two objects. CONSTITUTION: A battery electrode welding apparatus comprises a beam irradiator(330) and an optical system(350). The beam irradiator emits a laser beam with energy, which is higher than the melting point of a first aluminum object and lower than the melting point of a second copper object. The optical system condenses the laser beam emitted from the beam irradiator and guides the condensed laser beam to the contact portion between the first and second objects. |
