<p>A gasket 202 for aligning and sealing a screen 400, 402 in a round separator includes a deformable annular wall 304 having a first lobe 314 at a top end, a second lobe 316 at a bottom end, an exterior surface and an interior surface from which an upper lip 300 and a lower lip 302 project inward to generally define a U-shaped channel, wherein the deformable annular wall 304, the upper lip 300 and the lower lip 302 together have a pi-shaped cross-section. The top surface 318 of the upper lip 300 may intersect the first lobe 314 at an angle greater than 90° and the bottom surface 320 of the lower lip 302 may intersect the second lobe 316 at an angle greater than 90°. The gasket 202 may seal the screen between flanges 412, 414 of upper and lower housings. The gasket 202 may be compressed using a bolting mechanism (210, 214, 216 fig 2A) in place of the conventional annuar clamp band 44.</p> |
