The frame has an inner side for mounting a window (120) or door, and an outer side for connection with a wall. The frame includes a material with 30 volume percent of expanded foam and/or foam glass. Plastic e.g. polyurethane, and/or mineral material e.g. mortar, are/is used for binding the expanded foam and/or the foam glass. A circular groove is provided at an outer side and filled with sealing foam for sealing against a wall. Uniformly designed profiles are provided at sides and a lower side of the frame. A projection is provided for attachment of a window frame. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a window assembly comprising a frame (2) a method for mounting a window with a frame in a brickwork. |
