FIELD: metallurgy. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to casting process. The method includes preliminary fabrication of solid and detachable foam polystyrene models and assembly of a model block. During assembling the unit, connect the beam-feed-heads are connected with the collector by arranging them fanlike in a horizontal plane. Foam polystyrene models of the chain links are installed on the beam-feed-heads through the feeders. Solid models are deviated from the vertical axis to the beam-feed-heads at an angle () and the detachable models are deviated in the opposite direction at an angle (). Models of the chain links are collected in a block using cylindrical and spherical joints. Within each model two bottom parts of the detachable models are placed which are closed with upper parts. The model block is installed in a frame-container, the model block is formed in a dry quartz sand and liquid metal is poured into the casting mould. ^ EFFECT: production of a cast chain with a wide range of lengths, spacing and configuration of links, reduced labour input of the process, increased yield of the product, elimination of defects. ^ 3 cl, 6 dwg |
