A secondary battery is provided to improve safety by preventing the explosion due to overcharge, overdischarge, falling and internal shortage and to increase the battery capacity to identical size. A secondary battery is provided with a battery case where an electrode assembly comprising a positive electrode, a separator and a negative electrode(300) is infiltrated in an electrolyte solution, wherein the positive electrode and the negative electrode of the electrode assembly are electrically connected to input/output terminals by an electrode lead(500), and the electrode lead is a PTC-type electrode lead. Preferably the PTC-type electrode lead has a thin and long hexahedral structure. |
