PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing nitrogen doped graphene and the nitrogen doped graphene manufactured by the same are provided to functionalize the edge part of the graphene by grafting organic materials to graphite and separating the graphite based on the organic materials. CONSTITUTION: Organic materials and graphite are reacted under a reactive medium containing phosphoric acid polymer and phosphorous pentoxide. The organic materials include one or more functional groups and one or more amino groups. The organic materials are selected from a group including carboxylic group, amide group, sulfonic group, carbonylchloride group, and carbonylbromide group. The functional groups of the organic materials are grafted to graphite, and the graphite is separated. Organic material grafted graphene is obtained.
