A wrapping strip (110) is wrapped around the rod-shaped products such that a predetermined degree of ventilation is provided to the products. Several linear perforations (104) are formed in each of the products. The first perforation is extended from second perforation to form an array of perforations. The number of perforations formed in the first product corresponds to that of the other. The total length of perforations formed in the first product corresponds to that of the perforations formed in the second product. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) machine for manufacturing rod-shaped products such as cigarettes in tobacco processing industry; and (2) system for checking manufactured rod-shaped products such as cigarettes in tobacco processing industry. |
