Method of data processing for managing the end-to-end quality of service in a Machine-to-Machine network comprising a set of devices (11,12,13) in a device domain (10) of the Machine-to-Machine network, a gateway (21) in a network domain (20) of the Machine-to-Machine network, and a service platform (23) in an application domain (30) of the Machine-to-Machine network, each device of the set of devices (11,12,13) being connected to the service platform (23) via the gateway (21), wherein the gateway (21) is mapping the quality of service field data of a message received from a device to at least one quality of service parameter related to a protocol used in the network domain (20) and modifying the message accordingly, and transmitting the modified message to the service platform (23) depending on the mapping.
