PURPOSE: A filter assembly equipped with a springless auto shut-off valve is provided to block an inlet and an outlet by automatically operating the shut-off valve according to the combination of a filtering sump and a connector. CONSTITUTION: A filter assembly equipped with a springless auto shut-off valve includes a connector, a filter sump, a valve(240), and a combining unit. The connector includes an inlet(210), an outlet(220), and a coupling unit(230) connecting the inlet and the outlet. The filter sump is inserted into the coupling unit of the connector. The filter sump includes an introducing path(312) and a discharging path(314) in connection with the inlet and the outlet. A cartridge(330) is arranged in the filter sump. The valve opens either the inlet or the outlet according to the coupling of the filter sump. The combining unit is interlinked with the valve to be operated.
