PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction device of a mat with a block assembly capable of easily and surely sandiwiching the mat with the block assembly, easy in handling the device, and easy in maintenance. SOLUTION: This construction device lifts these members by sandwiching an end part of the mat with the assembly of a concrete block or a natural stone by a lower gripping member and an upper gripping member. The lower gripping member is composed of an inclined face having the front-rear two sides with the apex extending in the longitudinal direction as the center. Expanded metal is fixed to the inclined face having the front-rear two sides. The upper gripping member is formed in an umbrella shape so as to cover the inclined face having the two sides of the lower gripping member. A pair of pressing-down members having a plurality of pressing-down adjusting members, are arranged on the left and right of the upper gripping member by a fastening mechanism. A link having the two sides is respectively arranged between the pair of pressing-down members and an upper frame of a frame body. The mat between the upper gripping member and the lower gripping member is gripped or opened by vertically moving the pair of pressing-down members by laterally moving respective connecting members by rotating one handle.
