DEVICE ENABLING REDUCTION OF SAILBOAT HEEL

The boat or catamaran or trimaran or canoe with sails has a shell for the leeboard (31), or an outer opening or device for assembling a leeboard, that is profiled like an airplane wing. The skipper who wishes to sail close-hauled must let out the leeboard (31) before steering. If the waves are large, the skipper steers toward the heel from the other side of the boat (32), lets out the leeboard (31) therefrom, then steers to the other side (30). If the boat is sailed close hauled and before changing the side of the heel, the skipper lets out the leeboard from the shell (31).
