[Also in Division F2] A positive-driving belt comprises a steel strip 1 having equidistant longitudinally spaced slots 2 which accommodate the shanks 3A of a plurality of nylon teeth elements 3 moulded on to the strip 1. The belt may be made by injection moulding apparatus comprising a fixed die assembly 10, a movable die assembly 21 and injection nozzle 26. Three teeth at a time are moulded and a spring-biased roller 33 prevents buckling of the strip. The abutting ends of a length of strip 1 may be welded together or, alternatively, they may be connected by a perforated steel link plate (Fig. 5, not shown) held by moulded teeth elements.
