PURPOSE: A firmware upgrading method and a system therefor are provided to adaptively select an upgrade engine according to firmware to be upgrade, thereby upgrading the firmware by the selected upgrade engine. CONSTITUTION: A first control unit(105) controls an upgrade engine to mount an upgrade engine on a terminal. The first control unit receives an upgrade engine and an upgrade package from a server when the upgrade engine is not mounted in the terminal. The first control unit controls the mounted upgrade engine to execute the received upgrade package by the upgrade engine. |
