PURPOSE: An exhaust gas discharge apparatus and method of a heating furnace are provided to minimize the production of white lead by mixing high-temperature dry combustion air into exhaust gas to drop the temperature of the exhaust gas below the dew point. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust gas discharge apparatus of a heating furnace comprises a heat exchange unit(110) and a final exhaust gas generating unit(120). The heat exchange unit lowers the temperature of exhaust gas by collecting the heat energy of exhaust gas from a heating furnace and produces high-temperature dry preheated combustion air using the collected heat energy. The final exhaust gas generating unit produces the final exhaust gas by adding the preheated combustion air to the exhaust gas cooled by the heat exchange unit.
