PURPOSE: An engine having a volume-variable crank case is provided to effectively re-circulates blow-by gas without expanding a blow-by path or the volume of a crank case. CONSTITUTION: An engine(1) having a volume-variable crank case(20) comprises a crank shaft(30), a balance shaft(40), a chamber(50), and a balance weight(60). The crank shaft is connected to a piston(12) ascending and descending inside a cylinder by a connecting rod(13). The crank shaft is inserted into a crank case. The balance shaft is operated by interlocking with the crank shaft, and coupled to the crank case. The chamber is extended from the crankcase. The balance weight is installed in the balance shaft, and intermits communication between the chamber and the crank case. |
