PURPOSE: An ignition switch device for vehicles is provided to prevent the malfunction of a solenoid unit because power is supplied to the solenoid unit of a key interlock unit only when a key warning switch is turned on and an ignition switch is in an ACC mode. CONSTITUTION: An ignition switch device for vehicles comprises a key interlock unit, a solenoid unit(130), a key warning switch, a unit for operating an ignition key, and an ignition switch unit. The key interlock unit comprises a body(101), and a cam shaft(102). The cam shaft is rotatably inserted into the body, and controls the rotation of the ignition key. The solenoid unit controls the rotation of the cam shaft. The key warning switch is turned on or off according to the rotation of the inserted ignition key. The unit for operating the ignition key and the ignition switch unit are respectively formed in both ends of the body. A control module is electrically connected to the solenoid unit, a shift lever, the ignition switch unit, and the key warning switch unit. The ignition switch unit supplies power to the solenoid unit only when the ignition switch unit is in an ACC mode, the key warning switch is turned on and the shift lever is in a range except for a P range. |
