The system has location data creation/insertion equipment that inserts location data in a stream of broadcast audio-visual content, and a storage unit e.g. video server, for storing the audio-visual content with the location data. A detector detects and/or calculates the location data, and a remote control allows a viewer to select between a mode of live broadcast of audio-visual content and delivery of the audio-visual content from the storage unit through the detected location data in response to a request. An independent claim is also included for a method for distribution and consumption of audio-visual content.
