PURPOSE: A spindle motor and a recording disk driving device with the same are provided to prevent a dynamic groove portion from colliding with a portion facing the dynamic groove portion even though an impact is applied to the spindle motor and the recording disk driving device through a stopper portion. CONSTITUTION: A shaft(120) includes an extension portion(122). The diameter of an upper side of the extension portion is narrower than the diameter of a lower side of the extension portion. The shaft can rotate and be supported by a sleeve(140). The inner surface with a shape corresponding to the extension portion is formed on the sleeve. The shaft includes a stopper portion(160). The stopper portion forms a bearing gap narrower than bearing gaps formed on the inner surfaces of the sleeve and the extension portion.
