The ergometer (1) has a bearing base (2) carrying a mast (3) in which two traction sets (40a, 40b) are retained, where each traction set includes a side arm (4). A traction end of a traction cord is connected with a rolling drum while passing via two return pulleys and a third return pulley (13) that is carried by a movable carriage (12) and rolled around a lower pulley (10) to join the movable carriage or the cord. Another traction cord is fixed with the movable carriage, and passes around an upper pulley (9) for rolling on a fourth return pulley and joining the drum.
