PURPOSE: A control method of an energy storage system for a ground electric railway is provided to effectively control the energy storage system by applying an automatic tuning algorithm while charging or discharging the system. CONSTITUTION: A substation receives power(S10). A super capacitor of a storage part is initially charged(S20). The controller selectively performs a charging step(S310) or a discharging step(S320) in a power mode step(S30). The charging step is performed when the wire voltage of a wire is larger than fixed charging initiation voltage. The discharging step is performed when the wire voltage measured from a voltage detection part is smaller than discharging initiation voltage. |
