DC MOTOR PWM CONTROL MODULE WITH LIMP-HOME BLOCK

PURPOSE: A DC motor pulse width modulation control module which includes a limp-home block is provided to add a limp-home function in a motor control integrated circuit, thereby minimizing manufacturing costs. CONSTITUTION: A microprocessor computer(1104) converts a PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) signal transformed by an interface into a digital signal for controlling a DC motor. A gate driver(1106) converts the digital signal into a signal which has a voltage value and a current value for an FET operation. A regulator(1112) supplies a power source for operating the microprocessor computer and the gate driver. A limp-home block(1114) outputs a driving signal of 0 to 100 percent duty in the gate driver. A switch(1108) selects a single path among first and second signal paths according to control of the limp-home block.
