PURPOSE: Carbonated bottom ash and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve the physical property of the bottom ash by increasing the density of the bottom ash. CONSTITUTION: A magnesium hydroxide aqueous solution, a calcium hydroxide aqueous solution, or the mixed aqueous solution of the same are supplied to bottom ash. The bottom ash is reacted with carbon dioxide to obtain carbonated bottom ash. The real specific gravity of the carbonated bottom ash is between 2.04 and 2.15. The water absorbent rate of the carbonated bottom ash is between 1.5 and 4.5%. In the magnesium hydroxide aqueous solution, the content of magnesium hydroxide is between 0.01 and 25 weight%. |
