<p>The panel has a locking system (1) with a surface lock (3) mounted on the panel in a position spaced from a multi-point lock (2). A flexible attachment (15) and a rigid attachment (16) respectively connect a control latch-bolt (11) of the surface lock and a free latch-bolt (4) of the multi-point lock, and a control dead-bolt (13) of the surface lock and a free dead-bolt (5) of the multi-point lock. A handle controls movement of the free latch-bolt. A key barrel (14) controls the free dead-bolt and a complementary locking member (6) i.e. complementary dead-bolt, of the multi-point lock. The flexible attachment is a flexible cable or a helical spring, and the rigid attachment is a threaded control rod.</p> |
