The appliance (1) has a drain (3) and a vessel (2), where the drain comprises a drain conduit (4) formed in two parts (41, 42). A single connecting unit (10) connects the two parts of the drain conduit. The drain conduit forms an inverted U-shape (13) between a set of guide units (11, 12). The drain conduit is provided with a high point (9) that is located in a bent portion of the inverted U. The drain comprises a positioning unit (14) and a vent unit (15). An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling manufacture of a domestic appliance.
