METHOD FOR SEARCHING ZIP CODE USING CHARACTER STRING

PURPOSE: A ZIP code searching method using an address character string is provided to accurately search for an address and to increase processing speed. CONSTITUTION: An address character string is separated into words based on a blank(502). An index is successively allocated to the words(503). The word is extracted according to an index order(504). An administrative area name corresponding to the word is searched for(505). If it fails to search, the administrative area name is searched for(507). If it fails to search, the words classified into the index is merged.
