FLUORESCENT LAMP AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A fluorescent lamp and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to steadily attach a fluorescent material layer to a light emitting tube while having enough binding properties by forming the fluorescent material layer into a fluorescent substance particle and a silica particle. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting tube(2) is composed of quartz glass. A pair of external electrodes is included at the upper side and the lower side of the light emitting tube. A fluorescent material layer(5) is formed in the inner side of the light emitting tube. The fluorescent material layer radiates ultraviolet rays. The fluorescent material layer comprises a fluorescent substance particle and a silica particle(7). The average particle diameter of the silica particle is 10 to 100nm. The ratio of the silica particle included in the fluorescent material layer is 2 to 20wt%.
