<p>PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing silica aerogel powder is provided to prevent the occurrence of heat emitting reactions and explosions during manufacturing processes. CONSTITUTION: A water glass solution and an organosilane compound are dispersed in an organic solvent to obtain dispersing liquid(110). Inorganic acid is added into the dispersing liquid. A geleration reaction and a solvent exchanging reaction are simultaneously implemented to the dispersing liquid with the inorganic acid to obtain silica hydrogel(120). The silica hydrogel is dried to generate silica aerogel powder at a temperature between 25 and -15 degrees Celsius and a pressure between 0.08 and 0.12 atm(130). The water glass solution is a non-ion-exchanged solution. The organic solvent is an apolar organic solvent.</p> |
