PURPOSE: A device for generating steam of a steam cleaner is provided to delay a flowing time of water flowing inside a flow path and increasing a contact area between the water and an inner wall of the flow path so that the injected water mostly is converted into steam. CONSTITUTION: A device for generating steam of a steam cleaner is composed of a flow path(130) and a heater(140). The flow path is formed between a water inlet and a steam discharging port(120). The flow path comprises a flow delaying member. The flow delaying member makes water flow to the steam discharging port not to directly pass through the steam discharging port and delay for a predetermined time. The heater mounted in the outer side of the flow path heats the water passing through the flow path.
