The invention relates to an electrical cable device, in particular for use in a high-voltage network, comprising at least one electrically conductive conductor core (10a; 10b; 10c; 10d), an insulating layer (11a; 11b; 11c; 11d), which encases the at least one conductor core (10a; 10b; 10c; 10d) in order to insulate the at least one conductor core, and an EMC shield (12a; 12b; 12c; 12d) arranged outside the insulating layer. According to the invention, the electrical cable device has at least one protective layer (13a; 13b; 13c; 13d), which is inserted between the insulating layer (11a; 11b; 11c; 11d) and the EMC shield (12a; 12b; 12c; 12d) and which is provided in order to mechanically dampen forces acting from outside.
