<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a catalyst for synthesizing methanol, preventing activity of the catalyst from being reduced, even if carbon dioxide, water and the like are contained in a methanol-synthesizing raw material gas, and increasing the activity of the catalyst compared with a known catalyst for synthesizing methanol in a low-temperature liquid phase, and to provide a method for synthesizing methanol, in a liquid phase, by using the catalyst produced by the producing method. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing a catalyst for synthesizing methanol, the catalyst which contains copper is produced by sputtering, the catalyst being used in synthesizing methanol, through a formate, from a raw material gas which contains carbon monoxide and hydrogen, in the presence of an alcohol solvent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
