<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for suppressing degradation in a positive electrode caused by overdischarge and for obtaining the effect repeatedly. <P>SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery 100 has a positive electrode 10, a negative electrode 20, a separator 30, and an electrolyte (typically, an electrolytic solution 31). The positive electrode 10 contains a first active material that can store and emit a lithium ion, and a second active material that can store and emit a lithium ion. The negative electrode 20 contains a negative electrode active material that can store and emit a lithium ion. The electrolyte contains salt of a lithium ion and an anion. The second active material as a positive electrode active material has a reduction potential lower than a potential of the positive electrode 10 at a discharge lower limit voltage of the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
