<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device capable of surely starting a DC/DC converter by avoiding an emergency battery from running out. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply device 10 includes a fixed-type main battery 12, the DC/DC converter 14 that steps down an output voltage of the main battery 12, a control part 31 that controls the DC/DC converter 14, and a fixed-type sub-battery 30 connected to the control part 31. During a period when the DC/DC converter 14 is not active and a voltage value of the sub-battery 30 is lower than a rated voltage value of the control part 31, an electric power is supplied from a portable external power supply 52 to the control part 31 by connecting the external power supply 52 to power supply terminals 54 connected with the control part 31.
