摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting evaluation device of a machine tool capable of accurately evaluating cutting conditions of the machine tool or a cutting state of a workpiece in consideration of both of power consumption of a tool and an instantaneous load applied to the tool, and its cutting evaluation method. <P>SOLUTION: In the cutting evaluation device 2 of a machine tool for intermittently cutting a machined object with a blade mounted on the electric rotary tool 11, the cutting evaluation device 2 includes a power detection means 21 for detecting power consumption of a spindle motor 12 of the rotary tool, a memory means 22 for memorizing the power consumption detected with the power detection means, and an arithmetic operation means 23 for evaluating the cutting conditions of the machine tool 1 or the cutting states of the machined workpiece on the basis of the power consumption memorized in the memory means. The arithmetic operation means has a power waveform extraction section 24 for extracting power waveforms of one pass from entering of one blade into a cutting portion until leaving thereof from the machined portion, based on the power consumption, and an evaluation operation section 25 for evaluating on the basis of the total area of the power waveforms and distributed values of the divided areas obtained by dividing the power waveforms in time series and calculated for every divided zone. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
