摘要 <p>A novel network layer protocol. The existing internet is used as a template to establish network blocks of the same size, the framework of IPv4 and other layers of network protocol remain unaltered, a new option is added to the existing IPv4 protocol to store information needed for network block addressing, and the network address space of the internet is expanded via the addition of network blocks. The protocol is characterized in that: each network block is given a confirmed portal network address, referred to as a network block network address; the network blocks are interconnected via a special gateway (referred to as a super gateway), data packets transmitted across network blocks are sent to a target network block via a collaboration (referred to as a super routing) between super gateways. According to the protocol, a center is to be arranged for the expanded internet, the highest layer thereof is constituted by mutually equal network blocks, the existing internet naturally become one of the network blocks, referred to as the old network. The newly established network blocks allow unidirectional seamless connection to the old network, users of the new network blocks are allowed to visit non-upgraded websites of the old network, thereby avoiding the difficulty of starting IPv6.</p>
