<p>A modified hemoglobin oxygen transport agent useful in the treatment of hypoxia and related conditions is disclosed. The composition consists primarily of carbohydrate shielded hemoglobin or a hybrid hemoglobin molecule to deliver oxygen in hypoxia stage. The carbohydrate shielded hemoglobin therapy is based on oxidation physiology, which is believed to play key roles in ischemia, anemia and other conditions related to hypoxia.</p> |
