<p>A cartridge according to the present invention comprises: a liquid container in which a liquid is contained; an inlet used for pouring the liquid into the liquid container; a supply port connected to a liquid supply tube provided in a printing device; a communication port for communicating with the liquid container; a liquid detection chamber having a capacity that varies according to whether or not the liquid flows in from the communication port; a flow passage connecting the liquid detection chamber and the supply port; and a member comprising the inlet, the supply port, the liquid detection chamber, and the communication port on the same surface thereof. The supply port and the inlet are disposed in a half of said surface defined from the center of the surface in the length direction, the communication port is disposed in the other half of the surface in the length direction, and the liquid detection chamber is disposed between the communication port and the supply port. The method for manufacturing the cartridge includes a step in which air bubbles are discharged from the cartridge from the inlet and the supply port in a state where the cartridge is positioned to at least one predetermined angle at which the inlet is higher than the communication port in the vertical direction after the liquid has been poured into the cartridge from the inlet.</p> |
