PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery that is manufactured by overlapping individually prepared electrode bodies through an organic electrolyte and in which short-cut between positive and negative electrode layers can be surely prevented.

SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte battery 100 includes: a positive electrode active material layer 12, a negative electrode active material layer 22, and electrolyte layer 3 provided between the active material layers 12 and 22.
