<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens control apparatus that enables highly accurate lens control as soon as possible without inhibiting the shooting of an image by performing absolute positioning of a lens when image shooting is not carried out. <P>SOLUTION: In the lens control apparatus having relative position detecting means for detecting relative position of a drive portion, reference position detecting means for detecting that the drive portion exists at a first position, drive means for driving the lens, control means for controlling the drive means, and means for controlling the reference position detecting operation of the drive portion, lens's unused state detecting means is provided which detects an unused state of the lens control apparatus, and after the reference position detecting operation for driving the drive portion to the first position is performed at a first timing when the lens's unused state detecting means determines that the lens control apparatus is in an unused state, the drive control of the drive portion is performed based on the first position and a signal output from the reference position detecting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
