PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for transmitting uplink control information in a wireless communication system are provided to efficiently transmit uplink control information without collision when uplink control information of various kinds are transmitted in the same sub frame or the same slot. CONSTITUTION: Channel coding is performed for a bit string consisting of an SR(Scheduling Request) information bit and an ACK/NACK information bit(S201). Terminal specific scrambling using a scrambling code is applied(S202). Scrambled encoding information is modulated through a modulator(S203). DFT(Discrete Fourier Transform) is performed to generate a single carrier waveform in each slot(S204). Block-wise spreading is performed with an SC-FDMA(Single Carrier-Frequency Division Multiple Access) symbol level through a spreading code(S205) A spreading sequence is mapped in the subcarrier within resources blocks(S206,S207).
