PURPOSE: A privacy protection function providing method of a portable terminal and apparatus thereof are provided to prevent the leakage of opponent information by transmitting substitution images to opponents. CONSTITUTION: A storage unit(140) stores processing information, privacy protection function execution information, and basic information corresponding to contact items. An external terminal contacts to a wireless communication unit(110). A control unit(170) establishes and determines privacy protection functions established in the external terminal. When the privacy protection function is executed, a display unit(160) displays the established processing information and hides basic information established in a contact external screen and a contact reception notification screen. |
